What is meant by Virgin Hair?
Hair By Him UK extensions are virgin hair extensions. This means the hair has not be processed or chemically treated. This keeps the hair vibrant and healthy and as it is 100% natural, there is no damage to the cuticles which protects the hair.
What is meant by the terms ‘bundles’?
This refers to the sew-in tracks, which you would add into your hair to give it the length.
What is the weight per bundle?
All bundles are 100g
How many bundles would you need for a full head installation (on average)?
For a leave-out installation – 2-3 bundles
For a closure installation – 3 bundles
For a lace frontal – 2-3 bundles
For a 360 installation – 2-3 bundles
Please note that these is a rough guide. People will have a preference on how full they like their hair to be. Please note if your length of hair is 24” and longer, an additional bundle will be needed. The longer the hair, the heavier it is and the shorter the weft. Again, all weft weight is 100g
Can you use any other companies hair to install during my appointment?
If you are using our leave out, closure and frontal service – you are able to use any hair you wish. Please be aware that for some frontals, our stylist may refuse to install due to the quality of them.
360 lace bands and wigs are only made from Hair By Him UK products. We will not accept any other companies products in these two instances.
What is the difference between lace and silk base?
The difference between the two is the part of the material which the hair strands are attached to. A lace is exactly as you would imagine. The hair strands are attached via a knotting method to the lace. This gives that natural look when it is matched to the complexion of someone skin.
A silk based closure has a piece of silk material on top of the lace and the hair strands are attached to that. As there is an additional piece of material, you may find for the first few days the hair may not lay flat until it settles. This is perfectly normal and will eventually settle.
What is a closure?
A closure is a piece of material, in which has hair attached to it. This then sits at the front of your hairline to allow you to mimic a natural parting. Closures come in both 4”x4” and 5”x5”. You can get both lace and silk based closures.
What is a frontal?
A frontal is a product, which is installed and positioned from ear to ear across the front of your hairline. This means that you will have many different options when parting the hair. We only sell this product in lace material.
What is a 360 lace band?
This product consists of both a front and back lace material with hair attached. The idea of this product is to allow you to have a complete 360 versatility allowing you to put your hair in a ponytail, as well as the same style with a lace frontal. It is a great alternative if you don’t want to have your hair out but still want to be able to do a lot with your hair.
What products come with baby hairs?
Lace frontals and 360 lace band all come with baby hairs. They have to be styled by the person who is installing the product.
Why is it important to get your lace/silk colour correct?
At Hair By Him UK, we take extra care, ensuring the product you purchase from us matches you and your skin complexion. We provide you with the options of all the below to ensure you are able to select the correct colour for your skin:

Where is our salon based?
Both our stylists work from home. Marvin Francis is based in Paddington, W2 and Micah Blissett is in Harrow, HA3.
How is the lace frontal and 360 lace band installed?
At Hair By Him UK, neither of our stylists use the glue method when installing these products. We sew all our frontals and 360 lace bands down and use glue if needed for extra security. This is on the clients request.
Do you have to pay extra to bleach knots and customise the hairline of a frontal or 360 lace band?
This service is only provide to clients who have appointment booked with us and it is include in the service fee you pay for your appointment.
How long does delivery of my product take?
We currently do not stock any hair and we order the hair on demand. Your order will take 7 days to arrive. From time to time, this may be delayed due to shipping and weathering conditions. We will inform you of this as soon as we are aware of the situation. We would advise you not to book your appointment until the hair has arrived.
If you have order any wigs, the completion time for this is 20 working days. This may change depending on demand. The reason for this is because all of our wigs are handmade. A completion date will be offered once we have received your order.
Do we colour hair extensions?
We do colour hair extension but we will only colour hair extensions ordered from Hair By Him UK. We will not colour any hair, which has been ordered from any other company. When ordering hair, please allow additional time if you would like your extensions coloured.
Do we make wigs from other company hair extensions?
Unfortunately, we only make wigs from our own hair. We offer a full wig service which our admin team will be able to assist you with.
Am I required to pay a deposit for my appointment?
All appointments are subject to a £30 deposit which will be requested by invoice via PayPal.
Do we provide a home service?
We do provide a VIP service, which includes hair and make-up. However, we do not provide a day to day home service. If you are interested in our home service, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be able to assist you with this.
What is the difference between how senior and junior stylist?
Marvin Francis trains all stylists. The term Junior Stylist does not mean they are still learning. It just means they have been with our business for a short period. Prices are cheaper with the junior stylist.
If I have a complaint, what do I do?
Please email all complaints to email@example.com. All complaints will be responded to within 5 working days.
What are our opening hours?
Our offices are open from Tuesday – Saturday between 9-5pm. Clients will be contacted directly for appointments outside of this time. Our stylists work from Wednesday – Saturday.
Can I cancel my order or make amendments to your order?
Once you have placed your order, you have 24 hours to cancel or make any amendment. Once your order goes into ‘processing’ we are unable to make any changes. After this time, you will need to follow the refund & exchange policy.
What are the delivery time on the wigs?
All wigs are handmade and take 20 working days to be completed. If we have readymade units available, these are advertised via our Instagram social media page (@hairbyhimuk_shop), these are available to be sent out the following day. Delivery times may vary depending on location.
How are the wigs secured?
All units come with adjustable straps in the cap, an elastic band for security and a comb at the back as standard. If you require any clips, please request these when ordering your unit. An additional fee will be added. All wigs are glueless so you can remove them with ease at the end of the day. For additional strength, you can use a strong gel around the hairline of the closure or frontal.
